Albis Eusebio Gomez, age 68, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022. Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on August 14, 1954, he was the son of the late Juan Antonio Gomez and Natividad Duverge. He was also preceded in death by his wife Sergia Valerio Gomez, and five siblings.

His family moved to New York City in 1967, where Albis went to school and made a career in the restaurant industry. Albis married Sergia in 1978 and they moved to Raleigh, North Carolina in 1994 where he started his long career of 20+ years at American Airlines.

Albis is survived by his daughter Albenis Covert and husband Michael, of Granbury, Texas, son Alvis Gomez and wife Meredith of Raleigh, and son Avys Gomez of Wake Forest; nine grandchildren, Kyler, Mathew, Mason, Kaleb, Cameron, McKenzie, Anthony, Ashley, and Renner; and brothers Raphael Gomez and Francisco Gomez.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 1-2 pm at Montlawn Funeral Home.
A celebration of Albis's life will be held Friday, December 9, 2022 at 2 pm at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel, at 2911 S Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
