Obituary of Alec Bell

Alec Bell, 80, died Thursday at his residence. He was a contract hauler who worked in construction. Alec was an honest, hard working man who enjoyed camping, a good meal with family and friends and the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid NASCAR fan.

A memorial service will be held 11 am Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel.

Surviving are son, Alec Denton Bell and wife Cynthia of Raleigh; daughter, Janice Bell Tucker and husband, Mike of Raleigh; brother, John Bell of Georgia; granddaughter, Suzanne Radford and husband, Phillip of Greenville, NC.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.
