WAKE FOREST

Alfred L (Lloyd) Staton, 75, Wake Forest passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on Monday, April 27, 2020.  He was predeceased by the love of his life, Joyce Marshall Staton, his father John Moore Staton and mother Pauline Guthrie Staton. Lloyd is survived by one daughter Johanna Wagner (David) of South Carolina, Sister in Law Judy Lowery, Nephew and Niece Nolan and Michelle Lowery, Great Niece Rachel Lowery, Great Nephews Austin and Nick Lowery, and several beloved dear friends.
Lloyd retired after 30 years of service with the The Civil Service Department of the Navy in Cherry Point NC as an Industrial Engineering Technician. He served four years with the US Coast Guard.
Lloyd had a passion for the coast as he was born and raised in Carteret County. He and Joyce loved boating and fishing together.
Per their wishes, a dual memorial service for both Lloyd and Joyce Staton will be held at the Chapel at Montlawn Funeral Home on July 25th at 1100AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to MSA Medi Home Health & Hospice, 665 Carver Drive Suite B, Roxboro N.C. 27573.
