Alice Marie Jones Gay, 73 went to heaven on July 18, 2017. She was born in Roanoke Rapids, NC on December 7, 1943 to Horace and Flora Howell Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents Horace and Flora. Alice was a loving wife of 57 years to her husband Charles Raymond Gay. She also leaves her loving memory with her daughter and son-in-law Katherine Gay and David Linthicum; their children Michael and Erin Linthicum; her daughter and son-in-law Shannon Gay and Brent Hanes; her brother and sister-in-law Ernest and Deborah Jones; and many wonderful friends who she loved like family. Alice was a hairdresser and home maker who was kind and brought joy to all those around her. She took great pride in her cooking and making sure everyone felt loved and welcome when they entered her home. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM and the chapel service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 11:00 AM both at Montlawn Funeral Home.
