Obituary of Alice Rowland

Alice Johnson Rowland, 84, of Greenville, SC, formerly from Fuquay-Varina, NC, passed away Monday, September 28, 2009.

Mrs. Rowland, a native of Chicago, IL is survived by her sister Tillie of Morton Grove, IL; children Bruce Rowland of Brentwood, TN, Rhonda Larson of Taylors, SC, Rick Rowland of Raleigh, NC, Terri Wilkinson of Raleigh, NC, Kyle Rowland of Apex, NC and their spouses; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Alice is preceded in death by her husband Thomas, her sister Violet, and her brother William.

Alice was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00pm, Friday, October 2, 2009 at Montlawn Funeral Home. A graveside service officiated by Reverend Walter Bass of Colonial Baptist Church of Cary, will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, October 2, 2009 at Montlawn Memorial Park.
