Aline Bryant Small, 73, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday August 18, 2021.  She was the daughter of William Elton Bryant and Nellie Bryant Lassiter.

Aline's greatest joy in life was her family.  It was always a joy to be around her, her humor and laugh were truly contagious.  She was the mother of two, grandmother of three, and great grandmother of four.

In her latter years she devoted her time to gardening and became a Master Gardner on June 6, 2017.  She and her fellow Master Gardeners volunteered at the Clayton Community Garden and devoted many hours to the growing of vegetables for the food pantry.  She also spent many hours canning vegetables from her own garden.   Many Thanksgivings she volunteered at Angie's Restaurant, in Garner, to server the homeless and got great satisfaction from doing so.  Aline also loved to bake and try different recipes.  A great eye for decorating Aline had, from flower arrangements to home décor.  She is survived by her loving husband, Samuel Wade Small, Daughter Amanda Jo Watson and husband Melvin, of Raleigh, Son Steven Jeff Gray and wife Cathy of Clayton, Grandchildren Ashley Gray Dunn, Andrew Wade Watson, Samantha Watson Campbell, and four great grandchildren.  Sister, Elgie Gray Honeycutt, Mary Elizabeth Yates and husband Robert Everette Yates Se., Susan Hall, Kathy Bryant, Judy Bryant.  Brothers, William Steven, Gene, and Robbie Bryant, Many nieces and nephews.
