Ann Campbell (Snyder) Savage
February 25, 1934 – November 10, 2025
Ann Campbell (Snyder) Savage passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, in West Linn, Oregon. She was 91 years old — though she lived enough for three lifetimes!
Born in Crestview, Florida, on February 25, 1934, Ann grew up between Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, and Raleigh, North Carolina. From an early age, she was endlessly curious about the world — a trait that guided her throughout her life. Her love of learning led her to attend many colleges and study a wide range of subjects over the years, simply because she enjoyed expanding her mind and following her interests.
Ann traveled to more than 50 countries, and each adventure became part of her life story — one she loved to share. She joined the Peace Corps at the age of 67, moving to Mongolia for three years, where she taught, learned, and made lifelong friends. Her courage to embrace new experiences, at any age, was one of her defining qualities.
For nearly 40 years, Ann called Lake Oswego, Oregon, home. She loved its beauty, its people, and the life she built there. Her cabin in Vernonia was her special refuge — a place for painting, quiet reflection, and the company of nature.
Ann had many passions: she loved horses, painting, traveling, river rafting, her pets— and reading. She was a hip chick always. Long before smartphones were everywhere, she encouraged her daughter to “check your email” back in 1995 and proudly sent her the first text message she ever received. She approached life with curiosity, humor, and independence, always open to learning something new.
She is survived by her daughter, two granddaughters, two great-granddaughters, and two sisters, who will forever cherish her stories, her adventurous spirit, and her fierce love for life.
Family and friends will gather on Friday April 24, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. for a graveside at Montlawn Memorial Park, with the Rev. Craig Gaither, officiating.
“We will miss you dearly, your love and kindness will remain in our hearts forever.”
