Anne M. Smith born February 25, 1936 after a lengthy illness passed away March 3,2024 at age 88. She is survived by husband Winfred "Tom" Smith, son Mark R. Johnson and wife Wendy, three great grandchildren, Lucas and Lacy Johnson, and Allison Nicholas.

Brother Gregory L. Massengill and wife Debbie. She was predeceased by her parents Hunter and Pauline Massengill, brother Robert L Massengill, sister Faye Sansom.

Anne started doing hair with Johnson and Gore then owned and operated East Gate Hairstyling in Raleigh NC, until she sold it and opened a new business Hair Designs by Anne at her home where she styled hair until age 85 and retired after 65 years of styling, Hairstyling was something that she loved doing , she was gifted and this was evident by the many trophies and competitions that she won.. Anne also enjoyed the outdoors, raised on a farm in Four Oaks NC, she enjoyed Lake Gaston boating, jet skiing and hunting with family members she loved  snow skiing, enjoyed dancing, gambling and cooking, She also enjoyed being at her church Fellowship Baptist Church, decorating at Christmas with other members She will be missed Dearly/ Any contributions to Fellowship Baptist Church
