Annettie Steed passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023. She was born August 22, 1934, to the late Elder W. T., Sr and Mae Creech Barham in Johnston County, NC.

Annettie is survived by her daughter, Dana S. Mann of Raleigh, and three grandsons Austin, Paxton and Cameron Mann. She is also survived by her two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Barham of Lillington, NC, and Polly Wise of Fuquay-Varina and brother-in- law, Sam Steed of Fuquay-Varina.NC,; many nieces and nephews. Annettie was predeceased by her husband, Levi D. Steed as well as her brother, W. Thomas Barham, Jr and sisters, Eleanor Higgins and
Helen Vinson.

Annettie began her career at Wachovia Bank but took a leave to raise daughter, Dana. Later, Annettie returned to work at NC Farm Bureau in the home office. She later became an Insurance Agent in Wake County for the NC Farm Bureau where she enjoyed meeting the insurance needs of her clients. After she retired, Annettie returned to Customer Service at the Cary Insurance Group with Nationwide. She was an active member of Carolina Pines Baptist Church as long as she was able to attend.

The family wishes to extend many thanks for the excellent care by the staff and volunteers at Swift Creek Health Center and Transitions Life Care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Carolina Pines Baptist Church, 2655 South Saunders Street, Raleigh, NC 27603.

Visitation will be held 12:00pm - 1:00pm  Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Carolina Pines Baptist Church with Services to follow. Internment will be at Montlawn Memorial Park following the Service.
