Obituary of Annie Woodruff

Annie G. Woodruff, 93, of Raleigh, NC passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014.

Born June 18, 1921 in Johnston County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Harvey D. and Harriet Godwin. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James E. Woodruff. Annie was an active member of the Western Boulevard Presbyterian Church since 1965. She was employed by the J.B. Ivey Company from 1966 until her retirement in 1986. Annie enjoyed gardening, quilting, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Annie is survived by her sons: James E. Woodruff Jr. of Raleigh, John W. Woodruff of Raleigh, Tom N. Woodruff of Vandemere, Phillip G. Woodruff of Bluffton, SC, and her daughter Joy W. Morris of Magnolia, TX as well as sisters Wynona Ennis of Coats, Mary Grant of South Port, Jackie Mckee of Wilmington and brother P.G. Godwin of Arlington, VA, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Western Boulevard Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.
