Obituary of Archie Mills

Archie Levern Mills went to be with his Lord on September 9, 2012. He was born on January 16, 1948, in Wake County, NC , son of the late Leonard Odell Mills and Sue Jackson Mills. He was employed by the Town of Garner as Grounds Maintenance and Park Supervisor before his retirement several years ago. Archie was blessed with strong mechanical capabilities and carpentry skills. If you could not find him in his house, he was in his workshop. He served his country in the US Navy.

Archie was a devoted husband, survived by his wife, Jennie Tyson Mills. Also surviving are his brother, Earl Mills and wife Jeanne; sister, Janet Mills Evans; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends whom he loved. He will be greatly missed by all who had a chance to know him and his noble values.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow at Montlawn Memoral Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm Thursday prior to the service.
