Arvid Elgin Crane

Passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, at his home in Raleigh, North Carolina with his loving wife of 65 years, Romana Crane by his side on Friday, May 24th, 2024. Arvid was born December 28th, 1937 in Sheridan, Michigan, son of William  and Bertha Crane. He was married to the love of his life, Romana (Andres) Crane for 65 years. He fathered one son, Eric Elgin Crane who married Arvid's daughter-in-law, Deborah DeeAnn Crane. He was a loving grandfather to three grandchildren, Erika Crane, Amanda Crane & Dillon Crane. Avrid was the great-grandfather of Savannah Crane and Hudson Prieskorn. He retired from his life's work as an engineer in 2009. He spent a portion of his life traveling from state to state with his wife, son and daughter-in-law. Arvid loved the traveling lifestyle. In his later years he spent most of his time with his wife, Romana at their home in North Carolina. Arvid enjoyed the stock market, collecting old coins and spending time with his family. Arvid's strong work ethic and the support and love for his family will forever be remembered.

Arvid is survived by his wife Romana (Andres) Crane; son Eric Elign Crane; daughter-in-law Deborah DeeAnn Crane; granddaughters Erika Crane and Amanda Crane; great-grandchildren Savannah Crane and Hudson Prieskorn; brother; sister; in-laws; many nieces and nephews, as well as friends. He was preceded in death by his father; mother;sister; and grandson Dillon Crane.
