Obituary of Audrey Dupree

Audrey Eunice Coats Dupree, 71, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Transitions LifeCare in Raleigh. She was born in Wake County to Sie Donius Coats and Irene Johnson Coats.

Audrey retired as a Rehabilitation Aide for NC Services for the Blind. She greatly enjoyed cooking for her family, making friends everywhere she went, decorating cakes, and going to White Lake. She also loved every dog she ever had, loved to move and was a much loved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandma.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Prentice Thomas Dupree and her brothers, Sie Donius Coats, Jr. and Parker Raphus Coats.

Surviving are her children, Danny Ray Dupree of Florida, Sarah Creel of Garner and Timothy Scott Dupree of Bailey; grandchildren, Danny Dupree, Tiffany Dupree Turpie, Jason Creel and Rosalie Dupree Goldston; great-grandchildren, Trevor Dupree, Jake and Tyler Turpie; brother, Leonard Murray Coats of Zebulon; sister, Thelma Coats Jones of Newton Grove.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm Thursday at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Entombent will follow in the Garden of Love Mausoleum at Montlawn Memorial Park.
