Obituary of Barbara Carrington

Barbara Jean Carrington, 63, of Raleigh passed away Saturday evening, April 26, 2014 at Wake Medical Center of Raleigh.

Born January 7, 1951 in Wake County, NC, she was the daughter of Mary Spence Carrington and the late Ezekiel Carrington. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Essie Gulley and Cleveland Carrington.

Barbara is survived by her son, Paul Carrington (Rhonda); daughters, Shannon Carrington of the home, Stephanie Lyon, and Candis Signal; grandchildren, Channing, Tilisa, Yasmine, Paul Jr., Jonathan, Arianna, and Carlos; great-grandchildren, Amari, Kaiyenne, Kadence, Christian; brothers, Eugene Spence (Mary), Rex Carrington (Christine), and James Carrington (Iris); sisters, Mary Davis (L.T.), Jeanette Short (Rufus), Teresa Betts (Bishop Phillip), Susan Robinson (Honorable Josef), and Wendy Carrington; an Uncle and host of Aunts, nieces and nephews.

Flowers are welcome or donations can be made in memory of Barbara Carrington to the Lupus Foundation of America, Inc., 2000 L Street, N.W., Suite 410, Washington, DC 20036.

A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel.
