Barbara Ann Tanner Johnson, 71, died at Rex Hospital on Saturday, May 28, 2016. She was a retired accounting clerk with the NC National Guard with 27 years of service. Barbara was very devoted to her family and was an unselfish and giving person who never met a stranger. She was a dedicated member of Inwood Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband of 22 years, Johnny A. Johnson; son, Timmy Jacobs and wife Eabby of Fuquay Varina; daughter, Debbie Seagroves of Garner; brothers, Leamon Tanner and wife Kathie of Garner and Gary Tanner and wife Sharon of Dunn; sister, Suzie Hill and husband Chuck of Carthage; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, David Jacobs.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon Wednesday at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Reverend Charlie Carroll. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11am-12 pm on Wednesday prior to the service.
