Obituary of Ben Edwards
Ben Lacy Edwards, 88, died Friday at the Laurels of Forest Glenn in Garner. He was a retired truck driver with Winn Dixie and also served in the US Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am Monday at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Harvey Whaley officiating. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
Surviving are his wife, Juanita "Bobbie" Edwards; son, Gordon L. Edwards and wife Dawn of Garner; daughter, Mary Lynn Bullard and husband Bill of Raleigh; granddaughter, Ashley Lackey and husband Paul of Raleigh; grandson, Lance Bullard and fiance Morgan Weathington of Raleigh.
The family will receive friends at Montlawn Funeral Home from 6-7:30 pm Sunday.
Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, 625 New Bern Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27601.
