Bernard Steve Scholl

Bernard Steve Scholl, 78, of Fuquay-Varina went to be with his Lord an Sa vior on Friday, August 22, 2025.

Steve was born on November 27, 1946 in Raleigh, NC to the late JB and Ruth Ogburn Scholl. He was a veteran having served in the US Navy and Naval reserves. His life career was with Duke Energy as a Lineman and Serviceman, retiring after 35 years. As a child of GOD he served as a Deacon at Piney Grove Baptist Church. Where he enjoyed his Sunday School class (Friendly Joy) and participating in Hands of Love and the Senior Joy Ministries.  He had many cherished friends that he loved dearly and were so important in his life, and enjoyed fishing and UNC sports.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Diann H. Scholl, son Michael (Mary Jo Matteson), grandsons Christopher and Zachary, brother Craig (Debbie), nieces, nephews and a host of many other loving relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Caleb.
