Obituary of Bernice Jones

Bernice Johnson Jones, 93, of Burlington, previously of Raleigh, passed away Saturday morning, August 17, 2013 at White Oak Manor in Burlington.

Born December 27, 1919 in Johnston County, NC, she was the daughter of the late John Johnson and Mary Lambert Johnson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ray Jones and daughter, Phyllis Jones Long Smith. Bernice was an Elementary Teacher in Wake County for 30 years and a dedicated member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Bernice is survived by her son, Lynwood Ray Jones of Ramona, CA; grandchildren, Jennifer Cress and husband Jeff, Richard Long and wife Melanie, and Lori Jones; great-grandchildren, Randall, Skye, and Annabella Cress, and Tanner and Tyler Long.

A Graveside Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Montlawn Memorial Park.
