Obituary of Betty Baker

Betty Ruth Baker, 74, of Raleigh, passed on to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday afternoon, April 5, 2012 at her home.

Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 - 9 p.m. Monday.

A native of Wake County, Betty was born May 20, 1937, the daughter of the late Claude and Ruth Moon. She was an active member of Midway Baptist Church and will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her.

Betty is survived by her husband, Grady Helms; daughters, Remona Maddux and her husband, Tim, Earlene Pleasant and her husband, Tony, Millie Layman and her husband, Chris; son, Linwood Arnold, Jr.; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers, Willie Moon, Lacy Moon and his wife, Janice, her sister, Vickie Matthews as well as nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends in her church family who were always supportive. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gerald moon.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Betty to Midway Baptist Church, 6910 Fayetteville Road, Raleigh, NC 27603.
