Obituary of Betty Bartholomew

Mrs. Betty Berry Bartholomew, 71, of Raleigh, died July 6, 2009.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2009 at Montlawn Memorial Park.

Betty was born June 9, 1938, to the late Howard Dionysus and Ruth Berry. She worked 33 years for the State of North Carolina, retiring in 1993 from the Department of Social Services. Betty also spent much of her time since retirement volunteering with Lewis to help rehabilitate wild birds for Wildlife Welfare, Inc.

Betty is survived by Lewis Y. Bartholomew, her loving husband of 49 years; two brothers Dan Berry and wife Betty, of Valdosta, GA, and Leland Berry, of Beverly Hills, Fl; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Bill Berry.
