Betty P. Odham (89 years old) went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 6 ^th . She is pre-deceased by Marvin and Florence Poole (father and mother), by her beloved son, Stanley Odham, and by her brothers, Clarence and James Poole, and sister, Dorothy Orrell. She is survived by her sister, Ann Poole, her cherished grandchildren Hunter and Kara and their spouses, and by her daughter-in-law, Melissa Odham.

After graduating from Hugh Morson High School, she attended nursing school in High Point NC. Throughout her nursing career from 1950-1992, she worked at Mary Elizabeth Hospital and the VA Hospital in Salisbury, NC. During the latter part of her nursing career, she returned to college to become a nurse practitioner. She graduated at the age of 58 with her BSN in nursing. Betty retired in 1992 to take care of her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

She was a faithful member of Millbrook United Methodist Church who loved serving the Lord and her community.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Transitions Hospice, as she was lovingly cared for there in her final days.
