Obituary of Betty Smith

Betty Schnidt Smith, 77, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2011. Funeral Service will be held Noon, Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park officiated by Dr. Wayne Hager. Ms. Smith was a graduate of New Hanover High School with the class of 1951, and a proud graduate of the Rex Hospital School of Nursing class of 1954. She was also the co-owner of Smith and Johnson Flooring Company. Betty is survived by her daughter, Joy Smith, sons; Buddy Smith and Bobby Smith, grandson, Luke Smith, sister, Peggie Haswell, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Warner Smith. Flowers are welcome or memorial donations made be made to Hospice of Wake County or Tabernacle Baptist Church, 8304 Leesville Road, Raleigh, N.C. 27613.
