Beverly Lorraine DeVinney, 81, of Raleigh, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 in Raleigh. She was born in Wake County, a daughter of the late Pete and Anice Sexton.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her sons: Kirk Jones, and Leo DeVinney; and her brother, Albert Sexton.

Lorraine was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her love in life was her family, animals, and caring for her home. Lorraine never met a stranger.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Clyde "Larry" DeVinney, her son, David Jones and his wife, Jeannine, eight grandchildren: Sondi, Jamie, Brian, Brittany, Alexae, Kaleb, Lucas, and Max, eleven great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, and her brother, Otis Sexton, and his wife Ruth; a well as many extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022 from 1-2 pm at Montlawn Funeral and Cremation Services, where a funeral will begin in the Chapel at 2:00 pm. Entombment will follow at the Montlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
