RALEIGH

Surrounded by his loving family, Billy George Jonson passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021. Mr. Johnson was born at the old Rex Hospital on August 7, 1943, and raised his family here in Raleigh. Johnson owned a contracting and home improvement company. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He served his family, country and community with distinction and honor.

Johnson was preceded in death by his parents,  Venolius S. Johnson and Elsie Viola Johnson; and his brothers, Ben Earl Johnson and Edwin Morris Johnson. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Onnie Johnson; his daughter, Tammy Johnson and her fiance, Joey Bailey; and his beloved grandson and side-kick, Caleb Lucas Milardo.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 28, 2021, in the chapel of Montlawn Funeral Home and Cremations, 2911 South Wilmington Street, Raleigh, North Carolina 27603. Burial will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour before the service - beginning at 1:00 pm.
