Obituary of Billy Johnson
Billy Adloi Johnson, 80, died Tuesday at Wake Med. He served in the US Marine Corps and retired from Durham Life Insurance Co. with 28 years of service. Afterwards he developed Johnson's Produce Co. and later retired.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am Thursday at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Virginia Denning Johnson; daughter, Sue Parkin of Raleigh; granddaughters, Kelli Cable and Laura Flynn Johnson of Raleigh; grandson, Michael Johnson, II and wife Tyler of Raleigh; two great-grandsons, Carter and Luke Cable of Raleigh.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Johnson.
The family will receive friends at Montlawn Funeral Home from 6-8 pm on Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 8300 Health Park, # 10, Raleigh, NC 27615.
