Bonnie Holland Atkins, 84, passed away March 15, after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

A funeral service will be held Friday at 2pm, with a visitation 1 hour prior to the service
at Ephesus Baptist Church, Cary. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh.

Born, November 19, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Raeford W. and Alberta C.
Holland. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband,
Arthur L. Atkins, her brother Harry Lee Holland and her sister Jean Carolyn King.

She is survived by her daughter: Karen L. Shults, Raleigh; sons: David Atkins, Ft.
Lauderdale, James Atkins and wife Martha, Raleigh; grandchildren: Daniel Shults and
wife Jennifer, Jason Johnson and wife Amanda, and Kevin Atkins; great grandchildren:
Hayley and Eli Johnson, Dylan and Meghan Shults; sister: Nancy Strother (Jim); brother
Wendell Holland(Vel); sister in law Margaret Holland; brother in law George King; and
many nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great grandmother, sister and aunt. She
dedicated her life to her children. She loved the lord, loved her animals, music and
dancing (which she continued even in the later stages of her disease) and shiny beads and
jewelry. She would love it if everyone wore shiny jewelry to her viewing or funeral.

Special thanks to mom's sister Nancy who provided special attention and assistance to
make mom's life more special.
