Brenda was a graduate of Atlantic Beauty College in 1967 a Cosmetologist. She began her career at Willett's Beauty Salon in Cameron Village. She owned her own salon for many years and finished her career at Cost Cutters on Avent Ferry Rd.

She was a long time member of Ephesus  Baptist Church in Raleigh. She served her Lord and Savior through various positions such as G A leader and WMU groups.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Terry Alan Shaw; 2 children, Teresa Lynn Shaw (Tom Guy) of Garner NC, and Macon Alan Shaw of Butner NC. Grandchildren include Mitchell Shaw, Haley Shaw, Brenlee Shaw, Macy Shaw, as well as step grandchildren Aaron Guy, Joshua Guy, and Meredith Guy. Siblings include Janice Stewart of Chadbourn NC. Nieces and nephews include Sherry McDonald, Debbie Bradley, Sandra Holden, Van Shaw and Stephen Shaw. Great niece Madeleine Shaw. She also recognized extremely beloved family members Bonnie (Stacy) Batson, Madalyn Batson of Clayton NC and Julie Fleming of Cary NC.

We would like to recognize pallbearers for their service: Stacy Batson, Israel Fleming, Joshua Guy, Mitchell Shaw, Landon Jackson and Aaron Fleming.

Visitation Services will be held at Montlawn Funeral Home on Friday evening September 17, 2021 from 5-7pm. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday September 18, 2021 at 10am with Rev Greg Templin officiating. Graveside to follow in the Montlawn Memorial Park.
