Bruce Wayne Lassiter passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, July 28, 2025. Bruce was a loving husband, brother, and uncle. He was born in Wake County, NC in 1957 and recently settled in Selma, NC.  A dedicated and hard working man he was the proud owner and operator of B.W. Lassiter Construction Co. LLC. He contracted through many Harris Teeter stores throughout North Carolina for many years.

Bruce was a dedicated, loving, and doting husband to the love of his life, Julia of 36 years. He was a true gentleman to her in every aspect. Bruce was also a loving cat dad to his and Julia's beloved cat Luna.  Bruce loved all things military related and loved to watch military based shows and movies. In his youth, Bruce proudly served in the United States Army in the 82'nd Airborne Division for four years and later in life would display his Airborne wings proudly on his many hats.

Bruce was also an avid rifleman and would attend the gun range to target practice in his free time. He loved 70's rock and roll with two top favorites being, Eric Clapton and Journey. Bruce loved to keep a nice looking lawn and would dote to his sister on the phone about making sure it was neat and well kept.

Bruce is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Grace Lasaiter Williams and father that raised him from a small child, Jessie James Williams Jr.  Bruce is survived and dearly missed by his loving wife, Julia; brother Don Lassiter (Jenine); sister Linda Gunter (Greg); Niece Krystal Compton (Chris); nephews Daniel Lassiter and Kevin Lassiter (Amanda); great nephew, Blake Lassiter; great niece, Elizabeth "Lizzy" Whitt; and great nephew, Christopher Compton as well as many cousins, extended family members and friends.

The family will hold a celebration of life to be announced at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Fisher House Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project, and Homes for Our Troops.
