Calvin L. Hennis, 88, of Raleigh died Saturday, December 23, 2017. He was born June 24, 1929 son of the late Calvin L. Hennis, Sr. and Emma Palmer Hennis. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy J. Hennis.

Mr. Hennis was a U.S. Army veteran.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Caraleigh Baptist Church in Raleigh.

He is survived by three sons, Jimmy Hennis and wife Sharon of Raleigh, Ronnie Hennis and wife Ann of Clayton and Tony Hennis and wife Deborah of Creedmoor, a sister, Mae Lewis of Mississippi, four grandchildren, Callie Hennis, Katelyn Hennis, Christopher Hennis and Steven Hennis, and two great grandchildren, Aaron Hennis and Nicholas Hennis.
