Obituary of Carol Byrd

Mrs. Carol McCaskill Byrd, 67, of Raleigh, died Tuesday morning, August 11, 2009 at her home.

Graveside Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 12 Noon -1:45 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at Montlawn Funeral Home.

A native of Santa Rosa County, Florida, Carol was the daughter of the late Van David "Dade" McCaskill and Ina Morrow McCaskill. She was a retired department manager with Sam's Club.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her two sons, Richard Alan "Ricky" Byrd and William David "Bubba" Byrd.

Carol is survived by her husband, Charles William Byrd; sister, Avalene Terrill of Houston, TX; brothers, Billy and David McCaskill, both of Pensacola, FL; sister in-law, Hazel Todd of Lancaster, SC; grandsons, Darren Byrd of Garner and Devan Byrd of Raleigh as well as many nies and nephews.
