Obituary of Carolyn Hicks
Carolyn Hodge Hicks, 76, of Raleigh, passed away peacefully Friday morning, November 27, 2015 at her home.
Born April 11, 1939 in Raleigh, NC, she was the daughter of the late Earl Wilbur Hodge and Harriette Louise Bishop Hodge, both of Raleigh. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Hodge Murray of Raleigh. Carolyn graduated from Broughton High School in the Class of 1957.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Boyd Hicks, Jr.; a son, Haywood Daniel "Danny" Bunch (Pamela); a daughter, Deborah Bunch Tart (Timothy); grandchildren; Matthew, Tyler, and River; brother, Donald W. Hodge (Angela); and niece, Christina Renee HodgeTendall (Will).
A Celebration of Carolyn's Life will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel, 2911 S. Wilmington St., Raleigh, NC 27603.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made in memory of Carolyn to SPCA of Wake County, 200 Petfinder Lane, Raleigh, NC 27603.
