Charles Lindsay Aldridge moved into his heavenly home on Saturday, May 25, 2019. He was born November 7, 1932 in Hopewell, Virginia, to Timothy Woodson and Amy Atkinson Aldridge. Charles is survived by his wife Virginia, and sons Kevin, Kenneth and Christopher Aldridge. He was "Papaw" to grandchildren Evan and Leah Aldridge. In addition to his parents, Charles was predeceased by brothers Frank and Herbert Aldridge and sister Roxie Aldridge and Bernice Shuler.

Upon graduation from Hopewell High School, Charles attended Johnson Bible College where he received his Bachelor's degree and was ordained into the Christian ministry. He received his Master's in Ministry from Kentucky Christian University. While at JBC, he met the love of his life, Virginia. They were married June 27, 1958 in Ironton, Ohio. Charles was a selfless, tireless and dedicated servant of the Lord. He devoted himself to the ministry, serving churches in West Virginia, Virginia and North Carolina.

He worked full-time in the City of Raleigh Real Estate Department, retiring from there with 30 years of service.

He and Virginia enjoyed many years of traveling in the US and overseas with friends and college classmates. Most of all, Charles enjoyed fishing trips to the North Carolina coast with his sons.

He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and now he has received his crown of righteousness. "Well done, thou good and faithful servant (Charles), enter into the joys of the Lord."  There will be a memorial service on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 2:00  at North Raleigh Church of Christ, 8701 Falls of Neuse, Raleigh, with Kent Massey, Minister, officiating.  The family will have a time of visitation from 1:00 - 1:45 prior to the service at the Church.
