Obituary of Charles Barker
Charles Jordan Barker, 68, died on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at his residence. He retired from Cooper Hand Tools after 38 years of service. He served in the NC National Guard and was a devoted family man.
A funeral service will be held 11 am Monday at Montlawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park .
Surviving are his wife, Denise Barker; daughter, Amy Barker Allen and husband Jeffrey of Garner; step-daughter, Cindy Standish of Raleigh; sister, Judy Hocutt and husband Floyd of Raleigh; brother, Jack Barker and wife Debbie of Winston Salem; grandchildren, Emily, Natalie, Jake, Luke and Aralei; several nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ruth Barker and his first wife Brenda Penny Barker.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3-5 pm on Sunday.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
