Obituary of Charles Dill
Charles Leonard Dill, Jr., 91, of Cary, died Sunday, January 16, 2011 at his home.
A Celebration of his Life will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Mausoleum Chapel at Raleigh Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
A native of Alabama, Charlie served his country in the United States Marine Corps during World War II where he met and married his bride of 57 years, Ethel Wegner, at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He was the Director of Training in the School of Electronics at R.E.T.S. in Miami, FL. Charlie was preceded in the death by his wife, Ethel W. Dill; daughter, Ellen Louise West and a son, Charles Leonard Dill III.
Surviving are his daughter, Cheryl M. Ysidron and her husband Bob; son, Steward E. Dill and his wife Debra, all of Cary; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
