Charles Hall Jones, 88, passed from this earthly life into eternal life on Thursday, November 3, 2016. He was known for his good heartedness, generosity and always saw the best in everyone. His wife, Louise, was the love of his life. He often referred to her as "his bride". They were married on November 20, 1954 and would have celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary.
Charles attended Guilford College, and served 2 years in the U.S. Army. Shortly thereafter he went to work with Norfolk Southern Railroad and retired in 1987 with 37 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Louise E. Jones; daughter, Karen Cox (Mike); sons, Michael (Tammy) and Chuck (Beth). Grandchildren, Kristen Cox Reites, Joe Cox, Hannah Cox Upchurch, Jenny Cox Johnson, Calvin Jones, Andrew Jones, Rebekah Jones, Jacob Jones and Elizabeth Jones. Great-grandchildren, Will, Olivia, Madi, Ean, Adrian, Reid, and Tyler.
