Obituary of Charles Parrish

Charles Hurley Parrish, 87, of Raleigh, passed away Thursday afternoon, July 12, 2012 at his residence.

A Funeral Service will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.

Born November 14, 1924 in Franklin County, NC, Charles was the son of the late Grover and Sally Parrish. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Wilson and David Graham Parrish, and sisters, Jane Parrish, and Stuart Murphy.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Audrey Parrish; son Kenneth Parrish; grandson, Charles Parrish, II; sister, Ethel Thompson; brother, George Cooper Parrish; and many nieces and nephews.

Charles was a veteran of the Army-Air Force and served his country in World War II as a crew chief on a B24. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
