Charles Brian Perkins, 65,of Garner, NC passed away  on November 11, 2020. He was born in Columbus Ohio on May 5th, 1955 to the late Charles Marvin Perkins and Sarah Georgene Perkins.

In his youth Charles attended Colonel Zadok Magruder High School in Rockville, Maryland. He was among their first graduating class in 1973. Charles went on to attend Montgomery college in Rockville, earning both an AA and BA in the process. Charles also attended Ohio State University. After his many years of education, Charles went on to work for the Food and Drug Administration.

Charles was baptized at Halpine Baptist Church in Rockville Maryland.  He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Garner, NC.   Charles took part in the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and was also an avid bird lover. Charles had a passion for birds, and owned several pet birds, which he cared very deeply for.  He had a wonderful sense of humor that we loved, and kept us laughing.  He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his sister, Catherine Perkins, of Raleigh NC, her partner, Michael Rice of Rockville MD, his niece, Elizabeth Merrill of Raleigh; his nephew March Renick, and his wife, Hazel Renick of Raleigh NC, and Aunts, Uncles and cousins who reside in Maryland, Virginia and Ohio.

A remembrance of life service will be held at a later date due to the ongoing pandemic.
