Charlotte Benfield Simmons, 80, of Garner, NC, went to be with the Lord on November 4, 2019.  She was born and raised in Caldwell County, NC, by the late John Edward Benfield and Bertha Alma Benfield.  She is also preceded in death by her beloved son, Charles Simmons, and her siblings Donald Benfield, Sherman Benfield, Richard Benfield, Wayne Benfield, Shirley Pipes, and Gerald Benfield.

She is survived by her grandson Mitch Simmons, sister Joyce Vines, and daughter-in-law Donna Simmons.

Charlotte was a former nurse and loved to help people.  She was very compassionate and kind and had a strong faith in the Lord.  She loved dogs, plants, flowers, walking, and talking with people.  She especially loved and enjoyed being with her neighbors, who were like family to her.  Charlotte will be greatly missed.

A private gathering will be held in memory of Charlotte at a later date.
