Obituary of Cherry Sawyer

Mrs. Cherry Allen Sawyer, 70, of Garner, went to be with our Lord on May 9, 2009.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Montlawn Funeral Home.

A native of Johnston County, Cherry was born January 15, 1939, to the late Bythan and Lilly Allen.

Cherry is survived by her husband Luby Sawyer, of Garner; son Danny Sawyer and wife Nancy, of Garner; brother John Allen and wife Lucy, of Four Oaks; sister in law Jean Allen, of Four Oaks; grandchildren Steven Sawyer and wife Emily, of Browns Summitt, Stacey Goerger and husband Sam, of Garner; and many special nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. Cherry was preceded in death by a brother Albright Allen and a sister Louise Byrd.
