Quote for Prayer:
English Version
Citlally Banda Cardenas, age 32, of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away on April 19, 2026. She was born on February 15, 1994, in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, to Alejandro Banda Ortiz and Blanca Cárdenas Alcántar.
Citlally was preceded in death by her beloved father, Alejandro Banda Ortiz.
From a young age, Citlally was known for her gentle and shy nature. At home, surrounded by her four brothers, she found joy in simple moments, especially watching scary and horror movies together. As they grew older, she continued to cherish time with her siblings, including outings to the movie theater with her brothers Billy and Brian.
She graduated from Needham Broughton High School, Class of 2013, and went on to become a dedicated nursing assistant at Glenaire. Citlally truly loved her work and her coworkers, and she was known for being caring, compassionate, and nurturing to all those she served.
Citlally was a devoted wife to her husband, Luis, affectionately calling him her “panzón” or “petacón,” and a loving mother to her three children, Ashley, Anthony, and Oliver, whom she adored with every ounce her heart. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. On her days off, they often shared simple pleasures like, getting ice cream, watching movies, or visiting the park. Fridays were for pizza with her children, and Mondays were special for the “carnita asada” lovingly prepared by her husband.
She loved shopping and claimed she always “needed an outfit” but funny enough she would always come home saying “I found NOTHING I liked” and would end up buying things for her husband and children, and they’d all laugh together.
Citlally will always be remembered for her warm, reserved spirit and her gentle smile. She was deeply loved by many and will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
