Obituary of Clara Holloman

Clara Jones Holloman, 73, of Fuquay-Varina, passed away Sunday afternoon, October 7, 2012 at Duke University Medical Center.

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park - Chapel of Memories.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2012.

Born November 8, 1938 in Wake County, NC, Clara was the daughter of the late Sherman Jones and Ima McLean. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dorsey G. Holloman; and grandson, Robert Michael Joseph Young.

Clara is survived by her children Cindy Young and husband Robert of Fuquay-Varina, Joe Anderson and wife Ann of Fuquay-Varina, Rhonda Godwin and husband Michael of Greensboro; grandchildren, Josh Young, Joey and Nicole Anderson, CJ and Clarissa Godwin; brother, Ulus Jones; sisters, Retha Champion, Evelyn Beason; and many nieces and nephews.

Nobody could take care of Clara's children as good as she did, and especially her grandchildren. She will be remembered as being a Fierce Mama and a "Guard Dog". Clara will truly be missed.
