Obituary of Clarence Franks

Clarence Leo Franks, 76, died peacefully on Friday at his residence. He was retired after 20 years with the US Army serving in Germany, France, Thailand, Korea, and Vietnam. He enjoyed working on lawn mowers and going fishing.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Tuesday at Montlawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park with military honors.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Louise Franks; daughter, Vickie Franks McKinney of Garner; 2 grandchildren, Daphne McDaniel Andrews of Raleigh and Lyndi McKinney Peedin of Knightdale; 3 great-grandchildsons, Bryson, L.B. and Braylen Andrews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 - 2:00 pm Tuesday prior to the service.
