Connie Norris Montgomery, 70, passed away with dignity and grace on November 17 th , 2021 after a prolonged battle with cancer.

She was born in Raleigh on August 18 th , 1951 and she was preceded in death by her parents, Albert George Norris and Dollie Glover Norris.

Connie is survived by her husband Leo James Montgomery; her children, Paul Baise Nelson Jr. (Wife Sarah) and Lisa Nelson Lipscomb (Husband Charles); and her grandchildren, Andrew Charles Lipscomb, Jacob Daniel Lipscomb and Jack Gray Nelson. Connie is also survived by her step-children, Cynthia Lynn Chambers (Husband Ron) and Laura Lee Patterson (Husband Josh); as well her step grandchildren Britney, Cole, Conner, Drake, and Carson.

Connie was a North Carolina native and lifelong resident. She spent the majority of her professional life as a registered nurse, caregiver, and educator. Connie found the most joy in her working life when she joined Hospice of Wake County, which eventually became Transitions LifeCare. Her passion and specialty was home health and end of life care.

In Connie's personal life, she loved her family and friends with everything she had each day of her life. She loved to cook and laugh and talk and hug. She always made time for anyone who needed her and always took the time to make everyone around her feel special with her kind and compassionate spirit.

Connie's most prized possessions in this world were her family and she never stopped letting them know that. Her husband, children, and grandchildren were truly her pride and joy.

A celebration of Connie's life will be held Monday November 22nd, 2021 at 1:00 pm, at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S. Wilmington St., Raleigh, NC 27603.
