Craig S. Johnson, 69, died peacefully in his home on April 23 rd , 2020 in Clayton, North Carolina. Craig is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Diane Skarka Johnson and his three children Christopher Johnson and wife Christina, Caitlin Boatright and husband James, Claire Traylor and husband Jake along with seven grandchildren. He is also survived by his father Carl Johnson and two sisters Carlene and Candy along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son Curt Johnson and mother Claire Johnson.
Craig was born on April 13 th , 1951 in Duluth, MN to parents Carl and Claire Johnson. He graduated from Downey High School in California and worked for many years as an award-winning salesman in the telecommunications industry. Craig was a great family man and a loving father, grandfather, son and brother. Outside of family time, he enjoyed cars, fishing and golf. His family and friends will always remember him as a fun and loving person that had the best stories to tell.
Due to public health concerns, we are offering a vehicle visitation at Montlawn Funeral Home, 2911 S. Wilmington St., Raleigh, NC 27603, starting at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 27, 2020. You can drive up in your car and greet the family from within your vehicle. This will allow friends and family the opportunity to express their condolences and allow the family to see guests safely and within the CDC guidelines.
The family and friends will gather immediately following the visitation for a graveside service at 11:00 am. Again, the service will adhere to public health guidelines.
