Cris Alexander Vurnakes, age 98 of Raleigh, NC, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 28, 2018. He is predeceased by his wife, Frances Moore Vurnakes, and 4 siblings. He is survived by a son, Greg Vurnakes of Palm City, Fl; a daughter, Vicky Overby of Raleigh, NC; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
After a long career in the furniture business, Cris enjoyed playing his harmonica at church and fishing on the beach in Emerald isle. His service will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church in Garner, NC on Saturday, Aug. 11 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to Shiloh Baptist Church.
