IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Cynthia Perdue
Leshko
July 4, 1949 – October 7, 2020
RALEIGH
It is with great sadness that the family of Cynthia Perdue Leshko share her passing on October 7, 2020. Cynthia was a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend. She was born July 4, 1949 to Maurice Clifton Perdue and Evelyn Pearce Perdue in Raleigh, NC.
Cindy attended Hugh Morson High School. Her career extended into various positions from insurance to retail sales.
She had several enjoyments in her life but the biggest one was the love for her family most notably her grandchildren, she was forever quick to share a story of them. Anyone that knew Cindy learned quickly her next love was for animals with a pet cat or puppy always in her life as a companion. She enjoyed her many friends with a good laugh or tease whether in person or over the phone. Along the way she developed quite the competitive spirit when playing a "hot hand" of spades over her favorite plate of chocolate brownies and listening to her favorite selections of music from early Beetles to Beach Music and, of course Motown! Finally, she always enjoyed her favorite team "The Tarheels" and you could consistently find her sporting Carolina blue.
Cynthia is survived by her son, Troy Richard Leshko (Tammy) of Apex, NC, sisters, Rieva Perdue Bowers (Charles), of Raleigh, NC, Pamela Perdue Maloney of Raleigh, NC, Janet Perdue Woodard (Thaddeus) of Raleigh, NC, and Patricia Wood Wagner (Donald) of Raleigh, NC., William Alton Wester (uncle) of Oklahoma, Frances Asycue (aunt) of Louisburg, NC along with four grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Evelyn Perdue; her grandparents, Onnie Lee Pearce and Aldonia Perry; Johnny W. Perdue and Beulah G. Perdue; aunt; Wilma Pearce Wester; and two uncles; Preston White and Elbert Carlton Pearce, two cousins; William Ricky Wester and Karen Annette Wester.
Due to COVID 19 restrictions, the family will hold a private service on Friday, October 30, 2020.
In lieu of flowers the family invites you to consider a donation to "Safe Haven for Cats" of Raleigh, NC or Saving Grace NC in Wake Forest, NC.
