Obituary of Cynthia Williams

Cynthia Griffin Williams, 72, of Raleigh, died Sunday morning, January 3, 2010 at the Oaks of Carolina.

Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11-1 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.

A native of Johnston County, Cynthia was the daughter of late Eugene Malone Griffin and Ida Mae Brannan Griffin who survives her. She was retired from the North Carolina Employment Security Commission and enjoyed traveling to flea markets and auctions.

Cynthia is survived by her husband, Walter Larry Williams; mother, Ida Mae Griffin of Knightdale; children, Louis Ray Underwood of Raleigh, Tina R. Knott of Middlesex, Luther Shannon Underwood and his wife Nancy and their children, Brandon Browning, Josh Underwood and Zack Underwood, all of West Virginia; Edwin Eugene Underwood and his wife Kelly and their children, Haiydn, Tyler and Kailob Underwood, all of New York and her brothers, Chester Malone Griffin of Louisburg and Andy Griffin of Knightdale.
