On Saturday, January 14, Dana Watson Mann, a loving wife and mother of two, passed away peacefully at home. Born May 19, 1975, Dana grew up in Morehead City, NC and attended West Carteret High School, Class of 1993. From there she attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and became a first and second grade teacher in the Charlotte area, developing a love and passion for teaching inner city children. She is survived by her husband Dr. Charles Ashley Mann, sons Bryan and Camden Mann from Raleigh, her mother Mary Watson of Morehead City, her father Eddie Watson of Raleigh, sister Laura Nowell and brother-in-law Brian, nephew Sandlin and niece Addison of Morehead City and In-Laws Charles and Becky Mann of Raleigh. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bryan Watson. A celebration of Dana's life will be held Saturday, January 21st at 1:00pm at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel in Raleigh. Following the service, friends and family are invited to an oyster roast to continue her celebration of life at their home, 7224 Spring Meadows Lane, Raleigh, NC.
