Obituary of David Gentry

David Aaron Gentry, of Garner, passed away Friday, September 9, 2011 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

A Private Graveside Service will be held at Raleigh Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends 1 - 3 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Faith Bible Fellowship (1905 Garner Glen Drive, Raleigh, NC 27603).

A native of Person County, NC, Aaron was born May 29, 1923, the son of the late William Madison Gentry. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Lib Gentry. He was World War II Veteran and Prisoner of War.

Aaron is survived by his sons, David Gentry and wife Sharon of Apex, Terry Gentry and wife Pam of Fuquay Varina, Donnie Gentry and wife Kim of Raleigh; daughters, Jackie Gentry of Garner, Amy Harrison and husband Ronnie of Wake Forest, Lesia Thomas of Garner; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made in honor of Aaron to Jimmy V. Foundation for Cancer Research, 106 Towerview Court, Cary, NC 27513.
