Obituary of David Butler

David Lee Butler, Jr., 24, of Kenly, died Monday, August 9, 2010 at WakeMed Raleigh.

Funeral Service will be held 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Poplar Springs Christian Church, 6115 Old Stage Road, Raleigh, NC. Burial will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at Montlawn Funeral Home from 6-8 Friday and 30 minutes prior to the service Saturday.

DJ was the owner of Capital Tires and Inspections in Raleigh. He was an avid fisherman and possessed an intensely determined spirit and by age 24 owned his own business and his own home. DJ loved people across all racial, religious and ethnic divides and was a giver all of his life. Even in death DJ gave the gift of life to more than nine people through organ donation.

DJ is survived by his parents, David and Annette Butler of Garner; sister, Deidre Butler of Raleigh; brothers, Bruce Butler of Wilson, Adrian Butler of Acworth, GA and Brandon Hyman of Garner.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the David Lee Butler, Jr. Benefit Fund, c/o Four Oaks Bank, 200 Glen Road, Garner, NC 27529.
